• Continuing project panning in 2022

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great start of the New Year and hope you had a nice time celebrating. Have you made any New Years’ resolutions? I am hoping for this year to be healthy, peaceful and a happy one, and my goals are health and exercise related as well as staying mindful in as many aspects of my life as possible. With this in mind, I am applying this mindset also to my consumption. Since we are here to talk about makeup, let’s see how this translates into makeup usage. Here are all the products I have focused on using up last year, but haven’t used them up all the way. Becca first light primer is so close to being done, so it almost made it to my 2021 empties. That is ok, I will have my first 2022 empty soon to start this project on a…

  • How did my 2021-no-buy year go?

Hi everyone! I am in an organizing mood again, so I am cleaning up physical and virtual space around me. I was organizing my make up spread sheet (yup, I have one of those for make up) and looking at the numbers from this and the past years. Lots of make up products got used, as you may have seen in my last post. I passed on some things to my friends and family due to the fact that I would not have been able to use up the products before they expire and I didn’t want them to slowly go bad in a drawer. In the beginning of the year, I have put myself on a no buy for 2021. You may be wondering how it went? Well, it went kind of well. I am really pleased with the make up collection I have right now. I have not…

  • Make up I have used up in 2021

Make up I have used up in 2021 Hi everyone! What a year! I will skip those clichés about the end of the year and time flying by, so I will jump right  to the point. We have a lot to talk about. I have not been using as much makeup as I have been in the previous years. I do love getting ready and playing with makeup, sometimes just for around the house, but it still takes a while to use something up. With that said, I still used up a decent amount of products, so let’s see it. Pictures were taken as the year went by, so it will mostly not be grouped in categories, but some might. No expectations, just a random selection of products and my thoughts along the way. I liked this Smashbox primerizer and quite enjoyed using it. However, I have heard the Hard…

  • Sunscreen is life!

Hi everyone! Who feels hot these days? Everyone!!! Sun is blazing so hard all day here where I am at, but hey, we wanted the summer to come along with long days and its warmth. So, here we are: the sun, hot days, humidity, but still tons of fun and surge of optimism as we are stepping into the new season and all the things it is bringing us. Also, I am feeling  more optimistic now that I am fully vaccinated. Still wearing a mask of course (and I don’t think I will be comfortable out in the public without wearing a mask any time soon). You do what is right for you, but #teamscience here. I have been playing with makeup again and used up some things, created some strong opinions of other products, but today seems the most appropriate to talk about SPF protection and which ones are…

  • ELF cosmetics – a great brand for makeup and skincare lovers

Hi everyone! Life has been a bit hectic lately, so I have not been writing much, as you may have noticed. Also, I have not been wearing a lot of make up, so I did not have much update in that area. I have been trying out some new skincare and adding some new products to my routine. However, I wanted to talk today about ELF cosmetics. Elf (or eyes lips face as it stands for) is a well known drugstore brand that has been on the market for a long time. They have also been present in Croatia in the last couple of years, first online, and then in Bipa stores. They are known for their affordable makeup products and brushes, but lately they have been excelling with the skincare lines of their products. They are one of my favorite drugstore brands that I am continuously coming back to.…

  • Spring declutter

Hi everyone! Every time the Spring comes around I have the biggest urge to clean and reorganize. Since I have washed all the windows, reorganized our kitchen cabinets (patting myself on the back!), cleaned out the closets and all, the time has come to clear out some make up. As much as I try to make sure I use it all, sometimes it happens that some items expire. I don’t like when it happens, but I don’t like eye or skin problems either, so it was time to do it. I am trying to be aware of the dates when I purchase or open certain products, so some of the items need to be gone from my collection. First of all Too Faced Chocolate bar eyeshadow palette. I did really love this palette at the time. I have had it since 2016, which made it the oldest palette I have.…

  • Stellar team of skincare! Skintegra!

Hi everyone. I wanted to talk about my favorite skincare brand today. It is a Croatian brand and it is called Skintegra. They have brick and mortar store in Zagreb, as well as the online shop where you can find their products. They have an amazing selection of skincare products and they are cruelty free. They are also very mindful about the environment with their packaging, so there is a huge plus from me as well. Moo likes them as well, so she got into the photo. I love skincare as much as I love makeup. Probably even more than makeup (there I said it!!) Clear, radiant, healthy looking skin is a dream come true, and I owe a lot of my good skin says to Skintegra products.A little backup story is in order. About 5 years ago, I have discovered Korean skincare brands and got totally addicted to K…

  • My soap making hobby

Hi everyone. Today I wanted to talk about something a little bit different then makeup. I have fallen in love with making soaps. It all started last February. My sister and I were watching some you tube videos, and it just seemed like such a fascinating and creative world. The videos we have seen just blew our minds, so we wanted to try it ourselves. Right before the lock down, we were able to attend the workshop where we have learnt all about cold processed soap making. Here is the photo of my first ever soaps. My first babies 😀 It was so much fun to learn all about the oil properties, how to handle the lye safely and mix all things together in order to get your own special creation. Watching you tube is fun and educational, seeing all the exciting things people come up with, but I would…

  • Plan for project pan of 2021

Hi everyone! I am back with a new post about my project pan for 2021. I have looked at my collection and selected what I want to focus on using (or using up) this year. Some of the products are on the older side, so I want to make sure I use them before they go bad. Some of them are products I want out of my collection and some of them are my absolute favorite, as I think it is important to use products you love. Otherwise, you might end up hating the products you use and that makes project panning more of a chore than a joy of using up your make up collection.  Let’s start with the products that I have carried over from last year. My goal was to hit pan on Charlotte Tilbury Face powder and Hourglass Luminous light powder. I wanted to use up…

  • Project pan of 2020

Hi everyone! I have mentioned before that I will make a post about the products I have been panning and using up in 2020. I am finally reunited with my make up collection (and my make up garbage too! 🙂 ) Let’s dive in, so I can recycle the things I have used up. By the way, not all of the products that were in the project pan got used up, so I will highlight those products in the end. Let’s start with primers I used up in 2020. I have 4 face primers to talk about, all in the mini sizes that I used all the way up plus two eye primers. I really love Becca First light priming filter and this mini size was a part of a little duo (it came with a mini Becca bronzer which I was also using last year). I love the subtle…
