Continuing project panning in 2022

Hi everyone!

Hope you are having a great start of the New Year and hope you had a nice time celebrating. Have you made any New Years’ resolutions? I am hoping for this year to be healthy, peaceful and a happy one, and my goals are health and exercise related as well as staying mindful in as many aspects of my life as possible. With this in mind, I am applying this mindset also to my consumption. Since we are here to talk about makeup, let’s see how this translates into makeup usage.

Here are all the products I have focused on using up last year, but haven’t used them up all the way.

Becca first light primer is so close to being done, so it almost made it to my 2021 empties. That is ok, I will have my first 2022 empty soon to start this project on a successful note. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter primer/highlighter is hard to determine how much I have left as the glass bottle is so thick. I think I have used up maybe one quarter of it. I love this product. It is versatile and pretty, but I think I should use it up by the end of the year since I opened it in Jan 2019.  Undone unfoundation glow tint is 2/3 full and I should also use it up since I have had it since 2019 as well. Milani eyeshadow primer is the basically the only primer I use, however I don’t use it every time I apply eyeshadows. It is also on the older side and I want to use it up this year.

I love both of these products. Charlotte Tilbury eyes to mesmerise in the shade Marie Antoinette is always the one I reach for when I want to dress up, but I am in a time pinch. Super beautiful, one-and-done and cult favorite for a reason. My goal for this year is to hit pan on it, but I am in no rush to use it up. I enjoy having it in my collection. Thrive causmetics eye brightener in the shade Stella is pretty, and I use it as an inner corner highlight, and brow bone highlight, but once I use it up, I won’t be repurchasing it. It is not a necessity for me. Beautiful product though.

I have made some progress last year in these products. For this year, I would like to hit pan on Charlotte Tilbury powder, make some visible progress in Milani Luminoso blush, and hit pan on Fenty Beauty bronzer. I have a Physician’s formula Butter bronzer that I would like to pan this year as well, so two bronzer pans would be nice to see. Becca corrector is the only corrector I have, so again, not in rush to finish it, but this is also on the older side, and I would like to get more use in case it dries out. I have two powder highlights, Hourglass in Luminous light and Becca in Moonstone. I think I have hit pan on Hourglass, but not 100% sure. I know these products have a honey comb looking pan, and when I look at it, I see something similar. I guess I continue using it so we’ll discover it together. Moonstone was my favorite highlight for the longest time, and I enjoy using it. It would be cool to finish it this year. We’ll see.

I finished a lot of lip glosses last year, but Persona’s glosses were not among them. That’s fine. We have this year to use them up. They are the 3 oldest glosses in my collection so they will be the first one I focus on. I have a long way to go with these Glossier cloud paints. I have used Puff last year on occasions and made some progress. That one has the biggest dent. In the beginning of the last year, I thought I would use them as much as I can and then declutter them by the end of 2021. However, they are still going strong. Pigmentation is still there and they have not dried out, so I will use them for the rest of the year and see where we land in the end of December 2022. I like mixing them to get new shades, plus it speeds up the usage when using multiple shades. Also, they can be worn on eyes and lips, so I will do my best to use them up this year and not let them go to waste.

There are couple of more products I would like to use up in 2022.  I was thinking of doing a rolling project pan. It means that I pick 10 products to focus on and then once I meet my goal (or goal usage) I would roll in a new product. Makes it less overwhelming to focus on 10 products, without neglecting the rest of the makeup collection. Sometimes it it tricky to use project pan items, while still using the rest of the products. I don’t want my project pan to consist of always using the oldest products and making it a chore. It should be a fun process.

Ok, let’s do that. Here are the products I start the project with and then we will go from there

Are you project panning this year? Good luck and have fun!

Talk to you soon! XOXO Iva
