Makeup collection – cheek products
Hi everyone!
Ulta has posted 21 days of beauty sale and the good news is that I don’t have any urges to shop. Nothing is calling my name, so I am doing really well in this no buy. I thought there might be some powder foundation or tempting cheek products, but I am just immune to all that at the moment. Every once in a while I get some samples, but often I even skip getting the samples of any kind. I like this zen mode I am in.
Well, aside Ulta and Sephora’s upcoming sale, I wanted to tackle my collection of cheek products. I am quite content with my collection. I don’t end up wearing makeup every day as we run, play tennis, go to the beach or I do zumba, so it is silly to be wearing makeup in those times.
As you can see, I have good variety of bronzers. Powder, and creams, with shades that very from cool tone to neutral with a little bit of glow and all matte. There is a little spoiler in the photo as I have hit the pan on the Butter bronzer from PF, so now I am thinking I should just try to use it up this year. It is a lovely bronzer, but PF has a dubious cruelty free status. I seem to neglect others products when I pan a dedicated product, so my other bronzers like Alamar look untouched even thought I have had it for about 2 years. That is why I love mini products (like Milk makeup and Fenty) as I have variety, but also I get to use them while I still use the other products. I do really love that Becca sunrise waves limited edition (however the brand is gone too) as it has most beautiful glow. Bare minerals is an exceptional bronzer as well, but it worked the best when I had non-sunkissed skin. I add it now for the subtle glow. It is a baked product, so it will last for years to come. Uoma stick is a beautiful shade of bronzer/contour for me. I have it in the shade white pearl. Super creamy and easy to blend, plus it has a highlighter on the other side. Tarte entered my collection as a Sephora shipping mistake, but I like it too. Fenty probably looks the warmest on my skin (I have shady bizz color). These all work great on me and if I were to close my eyes and grab any of these, I know my makeup would look nice.
Oh, blushes. They just make me happy. I did pair down my collection and there are many more formulas that I love, but these just work the best on my skin. If I had to choose my favorite, I would really have a tough time. Maybe EM cosmetics? That powder blush in magic hour is just divine. But then again, so is their serum blush formula, especially in that lavender color, which is unlike anything I have. Essence has gorgeous formula, Natasha Denona too, Honest beauty with their cream blush is way above average on the market. I love that Kosas blush for its colo,r but also for the creamy formula that lasts on my skin. Hourglass used to be my absolute favorite, and I love these colors, even though my love for the brand has faded. Glossier cloud paints are the easiest thing to apply and the colors are so nice, I went crazy and bought 4 that one time. I love that I can mix them and get my custom colors every time I wear them. Milk blush is the most beautiful color that suits me well both on cheeks and on the lips. I know many people like it too. Noone talks about Jouer blushes anymore, but the formula is quite beautiful and smooth on the skin, completely matte but, not flat looking. I think it would suit many different skin types. Charlotte Tilbury wond in Pink orgasam is constantly sold out, so there is an add in itself. And of course Luminoso from Milani. Is there a more classic blush? I have it in the original formula. It is my oldest blush…probably from the end of 2015. Should I be even using it? Yes, yes I should. One of my newest blushes is Seychelles from Buxom and I love this color which pairs well with any look, or just elevates the look of a bare face. Oh, so nice….blushes are great.
I don’t think I have a crazy amount of highlighters. Just enough variery with creamy and powder formulas and they also vary a lot. Ciate is like a glossy face balm, while CT is pretty glowy with slightly pearly finish. Colorpop is a supershock formula that everyone knows well by now. It works so good on the skin. They come in soooo many colors, but mine is in Lunch money. Lisa Eldridge is completely unique formula and it looks so pretty, smooth, glowy without emphasizing any texture on the skin. True witchcraft and completely amazing. Essence is kind of similar to Hourglass, but even more subtle. Sometimes I put it all over my face as a finishing powder and it looks great. I have last two Becca mini highlighters in Champagne pop and Moonstone that has a pan. I do like both of these. Natasha Denona is a super glowy one, and with this one you can go a bit overboard. Still, it looks great. I am not longer supporting Ofra cosmetics, but I kept this one for color as I didn’t have any pinky in my collection. I didn’t want to get rid of this one and had to have shop for a new highligher. No need to waste existing products.
I have only one face palette. It is one of those big limited editions that Hourglass releases every holiday. This one is Vol4 from 2018 holidays. It is nice and perfect for traveling. I do kind of neglect it with everything else, since I keep it in the drawer in my eyeshadow palettes, but every time I use it, I am happy with it. This is all you really need to cover your powder, blush, bronzer and highlight needs….however only if you have fair to light skintone. Shame on you Hourglass for not being inclusive.
Anyways, that is all for today. I am going to soak up the sunshine and enjoy the breeze and hope you are having a fantastic day and weekend ahead.
Talk to you soon! XOXO Iva
