If I lost all my makeup….

We were traveling and my suitcase got lost. For 4 days I didn’t know where it was or will I get it back since it was not in the tracking system. Previously, when our bags got delayed, they always immediately showed up in the system as being delayed and we would know that our luggage had a little extra trip. This time it was different. I must admit I was losing hope. 95% of that suitcase content were my belongings and on top of that, it was all of my favorite things. My favorite clothes, my art supplies and yes, majority of my makeup. I had my eyeshadow palettes and some fragile blushes in the carry on, but everything else was in that bright green suitcase (for which I believed it had low chance of getting lost due to its bright color).

It was clear that I needed to go shopping for some clothes to wear and since we had a dinner appointment, I had to get some makeup and skincare. I went really minimal to cover my basis and I must say I did really well. I got 4 things from Sephora.

I got a Tower 28 mascara in brown color. It is a tubing mascara, so it is easy to remove and it is really one of my favorites to wear. I needed a concealer and since I was shopping in the store, I didn’t find my shade in the Glossier line, so I had to look around for something I would like. I landed on the Armani Luminous silk concealer in the shade 5 and I LOVE it. It is a great match and I love the formula. It is beautiful under eyes and I can use it to spot conceal. I normally wouldn’t look into Armani, but this was a happy accident. The third product I got was from Haus labs lip and cheek color in the shade Glassy cinnamon and I love it. It was on my radar for a while, but I never bought it since I had enough blushes….well until now. It is a great color that is like a blonzer on my skintone and it also looks nice on my lips. I didn’t want to overbuy, so I have stopped there. The final thing I got was a small beauty blender to apply all this makeup. I bought some hair products and skincare and was lucky enough that the airplane company refunded all the expenses once my suitcase was found and delivered to me. A lot of stress and a little shopping spree later, I am happy with these little additions to my makeup. I am proud of myself that I didn’t go overboard. I will use up all of these things. This showed me that I can really get by with even less things that I already have. I will probably revise my collection in the end of the year again, but until then I will try to see what I love and use the most and then decide on my next steps.

What would you fist buy if you lose all your makeup?

Hope you are having a great day and I will talk to you soon!
