Happy News!

Hi everyone,

Today’s post will be a little different. I have been distracted for a long time, as life got in the way. All for a good reason. We got a new addition to our family. His name is Meowsy and he is the sweetest ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel boy. He is 3 months old and we could not be happier he has entered out lives. We wanted to get a sibling for Moo for a while now, and he just came to our lives at the perfect time.

He was born on September 18th and his is one of 4 siblings. Meowsy and his brother were the smallest in the litter, but with time and love, they caught up with their sisters and all grew up to be healthy and happy puppies. He is such a darling. Just the cutest little happiest boy. He is eating well and sleeping well, not waking me up too early in the morning any more for the potty breaks. He wants to play a lot, he brings you the toys, and he is good at fetching. He actually brings it back for you to throw it. He has the cutest little growl when he’s playing. And he bounces like a little bunny when he walks to you, wagging his little tail. He is a true joy. He is in the teething phase, so he likes to bite and chew a lot, but is also easily distracted with a toy from chewing our shoes. He looks like a little Bambi when he sits in front of you wanting to come to your lap. He has learned a couple of commands so far, like “sit”, “up” and “off”. He is good at learning things. We use a clicker to train him and he is already walking nicely on the leash. The most mind blowing part is that he doesn’t have separation anxiety. I might eat my words, but so far so good. I can go out for a run, to walk just Moo and he is fine staying in with Nate or playing with his toys. It is amazing!

He enjoys spending time outside and just soak up the sun or chew rocks or leaves. He loves his sister Moo who is still adjusting to the new situation. She is not sure what to think of him, but tolerates him more and more with each day that passes by. She has not let him snuggle her, but hopefully that day will come soon as well.

We are taking one day at the time, enjoying every moment, as times goes by too fast. It is so lovely watching him discover his voice, establishing his habits of the day and just soaking up the world. We are so happy to be his parents and looking forward to a lifetime of happiness with him and Moo.

Hope his little face made you smile. Maybe it inspired you to consider bringing a dog to your life. They make every single day better and bring so much love and happiness.

Wishing you all a great day and I will be back soon! XOXO, Iva
