Laura Geller-I wanted to love this product

Hi everyone,

At the end of the last year, I was excited to get a powder foundation from Laura Geller for a fraction of price due to the December sales. I got the Balance and glow color correcting foundation in Fair. The year prior, I bought her other foundation Balance and brighten in Light and since the tone was not really right for me, this time I went for the fair shade this time hoping I will have found my perfect product.

After testing them both for a while I was sad to realize they are just not for me. Both of them pull really orange and too dark on my skin.

The undertone is just wrong. Even my husband noticed (without the glasses he wears) that the shade is too dark on me. That was the final push for me to give up on the bad makeup days. I have seen so many reviews of people swearing by this foundation, especially Balance and Brighten one. It is supposed to be a powder that melts into your skin and given that it is a marbled and baked product, it should adjust to your skin into this seamless weightless base. It just never looked right on me. It settled into my fine lines, actually emphasizing them. It was just a mess plus the glow version was too glowy for me. So, I am gladly removing them from my collection and focus on the more flattering products that I want to use, instead of forcing myself to use something like Laura’s powder just for the sake of using it up.

So I will be sending this off to Project beauty shade and hopefully someone else will find good use for these products.

Like I said, having the smaller collection gives you the joy of knowing your products and maximizes your good makeup days. I have more products to declutter due to expiration dates and just as they are sitting unused, but more of that coming up next time.

Hope you are having a fantastic day and I will talk to you soon!

XOXO, Iva
