• Eye shadow palette collection

Hi everyone! Hope you are well on this warm late spring day. Today I wanted to round up my make up collection posts with the overview of my eye shadow palettes. These are all the palettes that are with me with at any given time. I do have a couple of more palettes in my home town, but those will have to wait for some other occasion to be presented. I have tried to organize them by size and brand (not quite like Monika who organizes her stuff in 11 categories 🙂 but close enough). Lime Crime Venus XL II entered my collection late last year but has quickly become one of my favorites. I have been eying it for a while, heard people talk about it on occasions (it is by no mean a new release), often with polarizing opinions. However, the color story was so pretty that, once…

  • Lip collection

Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying the spring time and lots of sunshine (and using your SPF of course). Today I wanted to tackle my lip collection. I have realized over time that I am not big lipstick person. I have a couple of favorites, I like some formulas, but I have learned that I prefer lip glosses and tinted lip balms in general. I have tried to love liquid lipsticks in the past, but never found the formula or the color that I would be happy with. That is the reason I don’t own any and probably never will. I just don’t have the need for something super long wearing, plus we are still wearing masks anyways. I do like all of these lipsticks. Lisa Eldridge made a really great formula with her velvet lipsticks. I have two shades (Velvet ribbon and Fawn) and the third one is her…

  • Makeup collection – cheek products

Hi everyone! Ulta has posted 21 days of beauty sale and the good news is that I don’t have any urges to shop. Nothing is calling my name, so I am doing really well in this no buy. I thought there might be some powder foundation or tempting cheek products, but I am just immune to all that at the moment. Every once in a while I get some samples, but often I even skip getting the samples of any kind. I like this zen mode I am in. Well, aside Ulta and Sephora’s upcoming sale, I wanted to tackle my collection of cheek products. I am quite content with my collection. I don’t end up wearing makeup every day as we run, play tennis, go to the beach or I do zumba, so it is silly to be wearing makeup in those times. As you can see, I have…

  • Make up collection 2022

Hi everyone! Around this time a year, with spring around the corner, I get the itch to try out new products on the market. I have a couple of Elf and Essence products on my wish list. However, when I get that urge to do more than window shopping, I try to take a look at my collection. This time around, I thought it might be fun to document the state of my collection in order to prevent myself from breaking my no-buy. I still have products in each make up category, so it not time to shop. I thought I would cover base face and eye products in this blog post and take notes of what not to shop. I currently have 4 primers, one being a mini product. Becca is almost finished, so I am looking forward to start using the Milani primer soon. I can see myself…

  • Continuing project panning in 2022

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great start of the New Year and hope you had a nice time celebrating. Have you made any New Years’ resolutions? I am hoping for this year to be healthy, peaceful and a happy one, and my goals are health and exercise related as well as staying mindful in as many aspects of my life as possible. With this in mind, I am applying this mindset also to my consumption. Since we are here to talk about makeup, let’s see how this translates into makeup usage. Here are all the products I have focused on using up last year, but haven’t used them up all the way. Becca first light primer is so close to being done, so it almost made it to my 2021 empties. That is ok, I will have my first 2022 empty soon to start this project on a…

  • How did my 2021-no-buy year go?

Hi everyone! I am in an organizing mood again, so I am cleaning up physical and virtual space around me. I was organizing my make up spread sheet (yup, I have one of those for make up) and looking at the numbers from this and the past years. Lots of make up products got used, as you may have seen in my last post. I passed on some things to my friends and family due to the fact that I would not have been able to use up the products before they expire and I didn’t want them to slowly go bad in a drawer. In the beginning of the year, I have put myself on a no buy for 2021. You may be wondering how it went? Well, it went kind of well. I am really pleased with the make up collection I have right now. I have not…

  • Make up I have used up in 2021

Make up I have used up in 2021 Hi everyone! What a year! I will skip those clichés about the end of the year and time flying by, so I will jump right  to the point. We have a lot to talk about. I have not been using as much makeup as I have been in the previous years. I do love getting ready and playing with makeup, sometimes just for around the house, but it still takes a while to use something up. With that said, I still used up a decent amount of products, so let’s see it. Pictures were taken as the year went by, so it will mostly not be grouped in categories, but some might. No expectations, just a random selection of products and my thoughts along the way. I liked this Smashbox primerizer and quite enjoyed using it. However, I have heard the Hard…

  • Sunscreen is life!

Hi everyone! Who feels hot these days? Everyone!!! Sun is blazing so hard all day here where I am at, but hey, we wanted the summer to come along with long days and its warmth. So, here we are: the sun, hot days, humidity, but still tons of fun and surge of optimism as we are stepping into the new season and all the things it is bringing us. Also, I am feeling  more optimistic now that I am fully vaccinated. Still wearing a mask of course (and I don’t think I will be comfortable out in the public without wearing a mask any time soon). You do what is right for you, but #teamscience here. I have been playing with makeup again and used up some things, created some strong opinions of other products, but today seems the most appropriate to talk about SPF protection and which ones are…

  • ELF cosmetics – a great brand for makeup and skincare lovers

Hi everyone! Life has been a bit hectic lately, so I have not been writing much, as you may have noticed. Also, I have not been wearing a lot of make up, so I did not have much update in that area. I have been trying out some new skincare and adding some new products to my routine. However, I wanted to talk today about ELF cosmetics. Elf (or eyes lips face as it stands for) is a well known drugstore brand that has been on the market for a long time. They have also been present in Croatia in the last couple of years, first online, and then in Bipa stores. They are known for their affordable makeup products and brushes, but lately they have been excelling with the skincare lines of their products. They are one of my favorite drugstore brands that I am continuously coming back to.…

  • Spring declutter

Hi everyone! Every time the Spring comes around I have the biggest urge to clean and reorganize. Since I have washed all the windows, reorganized our kitchen cabinets (patting myself on the back!), cleaned out the closets and all, the time has come to clear out some make up. As much as I try to make sure I use it all, sometimes it happens that some items expire. I don’t like when it happens, but I don’t like eye or skin problems either, so it was time to do it. I am trying to be aware of the dates when I purchase or open certain products, so some of the items need to be gone from my collection. First of all Too Faced Chocolate bar eyeshadow palette. I did really love this palette at the time. I have had it since 2016, which made it the oldest palette I have.…
