A little pre-travel declutter
We are planning to travel a bit soon. As I am packing, I always try to think about what I am using and if something is sitting in my collection unused. The perk of having a smallish collections is that you don’t need to choose your favorite products and decide what to bring along for a vacation. You can just pack it all up in a single toiletry bag and have it with you in any situation.
However, I noticed that there are a few products that I am not using, so I wanted to highlight them before I pass them along.

I am not utilizing the Charlotte Tilbury blushes. I have two shades: Ecstasy and First Love. I was so excited to get them (especially with a discounted price). They are nice shades, but I am not using pink blush, even in this warm shade. Ecstasy shade goes for weeks untouched before I put it on my cheeks and I can easily go overboard with it. If I am in a mood for a warm pink blush, I am usually prioritizing my Jouer blush. The same goes for First Love. It is a nice nude color, but ever since I got a Clinique Nude pop blush, I reach for Clinique more. Besides, I don’t like CT as a brand. She is getting really obnoxious these days, so these were the last two products in my collection and I am happy to pass it along to someone who will use them. I will not be buying any more of her products in the future.

Rituel de Filles Celesteal sphere gelle eye gloss is one of those products I shouldn’t have bought in the first place. I got sucked into the hype and once it was on a sale on the Credo website I thought I could try it. The shade Serpens is very similar to Liquid Eye lurex Daphne from Lisa Eldridge (even though Daphne is lighter and more golden-green). They look more similar in the online photos. However, in person Serpens is more green and when I blend it out on my skin, it sheers out to this unflattering grayish shade on me. I guess the base pigment is taking over. It doesn’t look good on my skintone despite the swatches looking like it would be perfect. It is practically brand new so I will gladly pass it along.
RMS beauty is so hyped on You tube and Instagram that I got curious about the formula. Once Ulta’s spring sale this year came along and the blushes were half off (retail price is 40$) I caved and bought the shade Spell. It is ok. I don’t think the formula is anything special and I don’t like it on my lips despite being it Lips2cheek formula. The shade is again similar to Clinique, so instead of letting it sit in the drawer, I will pass it along while it is almost brand new.
The last product is a little sample of Hourglass blush in the color Scene. It was a gift with purchase, but I know I won’t be using this, so I will pass it along as well. It is too pink on my cheeks. Warm pink but too strong for my liking.
So here is the overview of the products leaving my collection.

Now I can pack all of my makeup without leaving anything behind for the trip and making sure I am utilizing the entirety of my collection.
Hope you are having a nice vacation, pool times, summer hikes or whatever makes you happy this summer!
XOXO, Iva
